CoMMSConfessions on My MSN Spaces——C'est la vie... 6月18日 New Haircut StyleBelieve it or not, I've already kept one haircut style for twelve years, under my parents' will!!! However, considering the barber who've taken care of my hair since twelve years ago, decided to retire from a barber, I have to look for a new barber. ("Plus a new haircut style." I whispered in my mind.) Last Saturday night, after the rain stopped, I went out to look for a barber shop for getting my hair cut. Actually it's quite easy to get a barber shop or hair salon in my hometown. But, since I knew that it's not worth to pay a high price for getting my hair cut only, I just avoid the ones with big advertisement boards, or the barber/style maker with...so-called "stylish" haircut. Finally, I stepped in a small barber shop which is located at a small street. "I just want to get my hair cut." I told to the barber, who was a woman of 40's, with a friendly smile. Then I took my glasses off, closed my eyes, feeling my hair being cut by the scissors. "OK, it's finished." Ten minutes later, the woman said to me, I put my glasses on, watched the mirror, I got what I want, a new haircut style, from a new barber. "Thanks for your work." I thanked to her. Now, new haircut style on my head, meaning I can try to face to something "new" in the coming future. What it will be? I don't know, I will just let it will be, and face it. Just like the happening of getting my new haircut style. ;-) P.S.: I will try to take some photos of my new look and upload to here later. :-) 6月12日 Plan, Plan, PlanFinally, I decided to re-schedule my Euro Trip to the summer of 2008(Because I cannot get the flight tickets to be there...). Which means, this summer I have to stay in China. Fortunately I have some plans.;-)
Plan 1, I already gotten a part-time job for myself during the coming summer vacation, working as a warehouse supervisor of a chemical factory in Shenyang, a city in Northen China. I think my parents will go mad because they never thought I can find this kind of crazy job offer and nearly 3000 kms away from home. Anyway, I got the offer. :-)
Plan 2, make the part-time job to be a full-time job. I'm thinking about make one-year pause of my studies in university, and working in that factory for one year.(My parents may kill me if they know I have this plan right now), but I still wondering about the risk of pausing the studies and the other detail things, need to discuss with my headteacher, definitely.
Plan 3, travel to Bangkok. Although I cannot travel to Paris, I still have the chance to travel to outside, for example, Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, which is not so far from South China. This plan is quite easy to set up, but, only one issue, I have to apply my passport at first, otherwise I cannot book flight, make reservation of the hotel, and no chance for it at all!!!!! 3月19日 Too Fast or Too Slow?Last two week, quite busy. Rendezvous, back to school, score of CET-4, lessons, absence, appointment in Shenzhen, damp weather, non-sleep disco night in Guangzhou, swimming at morning, ice-skating, small "damages" on body, the bullshit thesis, credit card payment deadline, traveling plan for Paris, bla bla bla. At the morning of 11th of March, two hours before I checked out of my hotel room in Novotel Watergate Shenzhen, I downloaded a music compilation, then I heard a jazz song, with the "Ein Tag Zu Schnell", meaning "A Day Too Fast", then I can't help loving it. Not only the title, the music, but also something extra. The living in modern city has been defined "Faster & Faster", you can't waste the time, otherwise it means you're doing committed suicide. And I was one of them, always forcing myself to do all the things fast, even in the weekend, when I should take a rest. Someone complained about my fast movement, and I said to them with French, which I'm learning, "C'est la vie." However, does city life have to be fast? Sometimes I think about this questionnaire before I went into my dream of sleep, and the answer is obvious, "No." City life also can be slow, you can find out from the people who's doing morning exercises in the public park, buying foods in the street market, enjoying coffee and desserts with friends during the afternoon, someone like that. And I always seeking chances to slow down my life with coffee, desserts, and friends. So that some of my friends are surprised that I just let my life slower and slower. So, too fast or too slow? I don't know, maybe "Average", I guess. But anyway, my life still goes on, still goes lively, with good luck and bad luck, joys and pains, dream and reality, normal and special, coffee and tea, luxury and vulgar, black and white, plus, fast and slow. And, the music is nice for hearing, suitable for playing in coffee shop for relaxing, even the title is "Too Fast". Enjoy the fast and slow in your life. P.S.: About my traveling plan to Paris, who can offer me an opportunity to let me collect 7,000 RMB within 3 months for the flight tickets!!!! 3月1日 One Year Passed........Today, after paid a visit to C.K.'s blog, I decided to log in my account name, to access my blog, which was abondoned by me for more than 2 months. Well, as usual, no comments for me. "Not a bad news." And, I remembered that my blog was started from the end of February of last year, so, tonight, I decide to write something, for my blog's one year anniversary.
One year passed, I grown a lot, and changed a lot, met a lot of people, learned a lot of things. The plan of losing weights, well, I would like to say, in total, it doesn't work, because I lose the weights at school with diet and sports, but I gained the weights in holidays, just like the credit account and debit account in accounting, the balance will be equalled, at last.
Music part, still developing my own music style, quite old-fashion, and quite various: Classical, Dance, Electronic, Trance, Techno, House, Pop, Vocal, Musicals, Opera, Violin, Piano; Madonna, Sting, Paul van Dyk, DJ Tiesto, ATB, Paganini, Edvin Marton, Raul di Blasio, Lang Lang, Sarah Brightman, Maria Callas, Johannes Sebastien Bach, Franz Joseph Haydn, Ludwig von Beethoven, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Antonio Vivaldi, Richard Strauss, Gustav Mahler, Claude Debussy, Edvard Greig, Franz Schubert, Sergei Rachmaninov, George Bizet, etc.
Financial status, well, you can not imagine how I could manage a lot of negative balance with no any black record, because in normal way of managing that, most of people will go crazy, and me, fortunately not, I still alive, though I still have to deal with them, but now, much better, just in the noon of today, I made a payment to them, it's a payback of 25% of my negative balance, right now I'm much better.
Personal part, during this one year, I knew and met a lot of people, some of them are just a few time of meeting then gone; some of them are farewell, because of my kid's behavior; some of them are very friendly, some of them are even offered me a chance to do some part-time jobs during my winter holidays......anyway, I would like to say "Thank you" to all of them, because without you, I can not learn a lot of things during this year.
Blog part, well, the topic of my blog is very small, just some normal essays and something for personal joy. Which means, not interested to many peopl, but still, I have some friends for visiting, giving me some comments, it's very thoughtful of you. :-)
This year, the beginning of the school's day will be a bit of later, so, I wish everything goes better and better.
One Year Passed, THANKS TO EVERYBODY WHO CLICKED TO MY BLOG.
Kindest Regards,
R.C. 12月20日 From "Hung Up" to "Suddenly I See"——My Reviews of MusicAs time goes by, right now it's December, 2006. So I decided to write a review of the songs I've collected, heard, tasted, quoted during this year.
"Hung Up" by Madonna, from the album "Confessions on a Dance Floor"
I have to say that this song is the most played song from December 2005 to December 2006. According the statics of iTunes and my iPod, it's 1723 times in total. Which means, 1723 * 5.6 = 9648.8 minutes, about 161 hours! Suppose I spend 4 hours to listen to music everyday, then in a year, 4 * 365 = 1460 hours, and (161 / 1460) * 100% = 11.02%, about one ninth, That is so much! I can't help listening to it again and again, the melody is so lively, the lyrics is so meaningful, and Madonna, is perfect! I would like to shout: "Vive Le Madonna!"
"MOST WANTED JANUARY"
"We Control" by DJ Hyper, from the album "We Control"
"Tao of the Machine" by The Roots & BT, from the album "Blade 2 Soundtrack"
From last November to January of this year, I was addicted to play the computer game "Need For Speed: Most Wanted", lots of crash I've made, it seems a normal thing to me. I heard a lot of songs during I played the games, then I choose these two to be my favourite, the beat is so quick, exciting, and full of passion, don't listen to them when you're driving, or you will crash, hehehehehe
"STRANGE FEBRUARY"
"From Paris to Berlin" by Infernal, from the album "From Paris to Berlin"
Why strange? Why not strange?
"TENDER MARCH"
"By Your Side", "Somebody Already Broke My Heart" by Sade, from the album "Lover's Rock"
I love to listen the songs of Sade when I listened the song "By Your Side" at the very first time. Someone said her voice is not like a female one, I would like to respond, "Who care?" Her voice is full of emotion, soft, like the silk; warm, like the sunshine in the winter. When you're sleep alone in the room, you should turn on your music player, let her voice to fill your room, fill your heart.
"DISCO APRIL"
"Traffic", "Just Be" by DJ Tiësto, from the album "Just Be"
After the Tiësto's night at YES DISCO, Guangzhou in April 7th, most of all the songs I chose is from Disco stuff, so you can imagine how loud my iPod is. These two songs are performed in the Tiësto's night. Actually, I want to recommend the one "Adagio in String", but I chose not to recommend it.
"UNIQUE MAY"
"Like It Or Not" by Madonna, from the album "Confessions on a Dance Floor"
So meaningful the lyric is! I can't help falling in love with this song, it just like to describe myself, a person who have dual reputation, always, I like to sing, "This is who I am, you can like it or not.........."
"FLAMING JUNE"
"Flaming June" by BT, from the album "ESCM";
"Sex Bomb" by Tom Jones with Mousse T, from the album "Reload"
"Faster Kill Pussycat" by Paul Oakenfold featuring Brittany Murphy, from the album "A Lively Mind"
When the June came up, I added "Flaming June" in my playlist. Not because it has "June" in the title, but also they have the feeling of "June". In the middle of June, I added two songs in it, "Sex bomb, sex bomb, you're a sex bomb........" The voice of Tom Jones is absolutely magnetic, I was imagining I'm a sex bomb while I was dancing with the music. Another one is "Faster Kill Pussycat", when I played it at 3am in McDonald's, I realized that I'm the wild cat, which is cruising the city during the night.
"SKATING JULY"
"Art on Ice" by Edvin Marton, from the album "Strings 'N' Beats"
"Gipsy Dance" by Edvin Marton, from the album "Virtuoso"
"Winter" by Bond, from the album "Born"
When I was staying at home in July, I had nothing to do except surfing the net, then I visited youtube.com, watching the video of figure skating, Yagudin, Plushenko, Lambiel, Joubert, etc. Of course, I'm not only watching the quart-toe-triple-toe-double-toe-loop, but also I'm listening the music, it's full of passion. I think it's the music for July, though the music are from the ice floor.
"RELAX AUGUST"
"Swedish Beach Bossa" by William Bottin, from the advertising campaign of Sisley in S/S 2003
"Honey and the Moon" by Joseph Authur, from the album "Music from the O.C. Mix, Vol. 1"
August, I still stayed at home, reading, writting, watching, bla bla bla. Seems boring, but leisure, and I got some old & new songs for myself, for more relaxing moment.
"QUIET SEPTEMBER"
"Czardas", composed by Vittorio Monti
"Otoñal" by Raul Di Blasio, from the album "Barroco"
Actually, these two songs are found in August, but they're being played by me again and again from the September, mostly I played them in the midnight, when I was sleepless, stand at the balcony, turn on the iPod, let the violin and piano make my heart back to peaceful, and quiet.
"UPSIDE-DOWNED OCTOBER"
"Do It" by Nelly Furtado, from the album "Loose"
"Corazon de Melao" by Emmanuel, from the album "Sentirme Vivo"
"Prelude in C" performed by Maksim, from the album "Electrik"
I think you will be amazed about those three songs, Pop, Latin, Electronic Crossover, all the three are individual. But, this is my music style, put the things together, then upside-down the rules, too horrible.
"Finally Woken" by Jem, from the album "Finally Woken"
Finally, I paid a big cost to my nonsense and kid's behaviour, I want to quote someone's saying, "You get what you deserve", so, yes, I deserve it. And, finally, I start to wake, so, "Finally Woken", I hope "Better late than never".
"CLASSICAL NOVEMBER"
"Ave Maria", composed by Frank Schubert, performed by Joshua Bell, from the album "Voice of the Violin"
Cleaning all the junkies, right now it's time to level up myself, listening to the classical music.......
"'I SEE' DECEMBER"
"Suddenly I See" by KT Tunstall, from the album "Eye to the Telescope"
"Suddenly I see, this is what I wanna be......" When I heard this song in the movie "The Devil Wears Prada", suddenly, I know this is what I need, so, I changed "Hung Up" into this. Suddenly, I see what I should do in this period, it is, get ready for the final exam of this semester.
So, this is the story of "From 'Hung Up' to 'Suddenly I See'", thanks for reading.
Right now, I quote a line from the movie "The Devil Wears Prada": "That's all." :-) |
